Last day of vacation on tap today. WHile the first 14 days were about relaxing both at home and at my mah's (with a Brad Pitt's gypsy accent in Snatch, I have spent the last three days volunteering at the John Molson International Case Competition, now in its 25th installment, and me in my 5th go-round. So I come in everday wearing a suit, even stopping off at the office sometimes, all while on my vacation. Why ? Because I get to see a lot of the friends I have made over the years from places such as Germany, Knoxville (Tennessee) and Newfoundland, among others.
Last night, we clebrated the birthday of a German friend. I made a card with references to Jamaican trafficlights (a reference to the building of recent the coalition government in Germany), Russian pipelines (involving the former German chancellor), and sex romps for supervisory boards in Brazil. The usual odd sense of humour that only those who know me really understand. ;-)
Likely alone for the weekend as HCW(tm) heads off for a weekend of snowboarding. ;-/ I'll have to get cuaght up next week.
I have decided to take this term off as a sabbatical from school. Allow me to focus on homelife, some new job responsibilities, and maybe even some time for a hobby or two (say building out the benchwork for my model trainset, finally watching the third extended installment of Lord of the Rings (still shrinkwrapped since over a year ago), and get caught up on the all of the first and most of the second seasons of HBO's Deadwood). Last term, I had to deal with a job strike, a school strike, and new job responsibilities. Como se dice "powerbar" en espanol? Plan to do a lot of sleeping like during the holidays, where I pulled many 11-12 hour nights.

This being the night of the theme party, I shall be making an appearance in my pink rabbit suit, as 4 years of tradition dictates. Pictures likely to follow.
