Right now I am reading War Made New (Technology, Warfare, and the Course of History: 1500 to Today) by Max Boot. Interesting read while I wait for my 2nd copy of The War of the World by Niall Ferguson. I say "2nd" copy because I am not sure where the first one is. Only made it about 100 or so pages in before I lost it... On an Air Canada flight right now I guess. BTW, I just finished reading Travels of a T-Shirt in the Global Economy the day before I started War Made New. Interesting book indeed.
I am also working on getting through Far Cry: Instincts for the original Xbox. One of many games I have started and not completed.
Made me realize just how much "stuff" I have. I need to put a hold on all future book and DVD and game purchases until I get through the ones I have.
BTW, only 1 course left to go in my MSc. Then it is writing, writing, writing for the thesis.
My 2nd resolution is to (finally) be able to tie a full Windsor knot. My father showed me how, let's say 20 years ago, but I can't seem to get it right. Looking at a instructions on a piece of paper or trying to do it in a mirror just makes me dizzy. I might have to make a quid pro quo with the salesperson at Simons one of these days.
Crossed the finish line this morning. Yum. One more work day and then I am taking it easy for a good week. Phew.
It's 12:30 AM. I have real work to do tomorrow, but right now I am on my term paper death march. Cutting and pasting and typing and deleting as much as I can about the World Trade Organization and other fascinating things. :-/ Got my Monster energy drink beside, starting to slow down mentally, but dammit, we'll get there...
